Tarago Village Fair 2026

Family fun

Little adventures. Big country fun.

Saturday 28 November
Tarago Showground

Plenty for the kids to get stuck into.

Bring the whole family along for a day of country fun at the Tarago Village Fair.

There'll be plenty for younger visitors to see and enjoy, from cheering on the Tug-of-War teams and watching the Quick Shear and Speed Fencing competitions to horse demonstrations, live music and all the action around the Showground.

We're also putting together a range of activities just for the kids, with more announcements to come as the Fair gets closer.

Featured activity: Fishing rod casting competition

Have a cast!

Put your aim to the test in the Fishing Rod Casting Competition, proudly run by the Tarago Fishing Club.

No fish or water required! Kids can have a go at casting towards a target, testing their accuracy and having a bit of fun along the way.

Whether they're keen little anglers or trying their hand at casting for the first time, it's a chance to get involved and learn a new skill.

Competition time and entry details to be announced.

And there's more to come!

We're working on more games, activities and experiences for younger visitors, so there'll be even more reasons to bring the family along.

In the meantime, there's plenty happening across the Showground. Watch the competitions, explore the stalls, grab something to eat and settle in for some live music.

Keep an eye on this page as we announce more family activities.

Help bring the fun!

Got an idea for a great kids' activity?

We're looking for local clubs, community groups, businesses and volunteers who'd like to help make the Tarago Village Fair a great day out for families.

Whether you can run a game, organise an activity, share a skill or lend a hand on the day, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't need to have everything worked out. If you've got an idea or something you could contribute, let's have a chat.
