Tarago Showground
A little friendly rivalry. A lot of pulling power.
We're bringing some good old-fashioned Tug-of-War to the Tarago Village Fair, and we're calling on local teams to get amongst it.
Footy clubs, RFS brigades, schools, workplaces, sporting teams and groups of mates: this is your chance to pull together, take on the competition and claim some serious local bragging rights.
With adult and junior divisions, prizes up for grabs and plenty of cheering from the sidelines, it's shaping up to be one of the Fair's great crowd favourites.

How the competition works
It's all about teamwork, strength and a little local rivalry!
Teams go head-to-head, pulling against each other to bring the opposing team's rope marker across the centre line. The first team to achieve this wins the pull.
The competition will follow the AgShows NSW Tug-of-War rules, with the following key requirements:
Seven competitors per team.
Two divisions: Juniors (17 and under) and Adults (18 and over). Minimum junior age to be confirmed.
Mixed teams welcome: Schools, sporting clubs, RFS brigades, workplaces and community groups are encouraged to enter.
Free registration, with prize money to be announced.
Safe, enclosed footwear required. No studs or spikes. Gloves are optional.
Be ready 15 minutes before your scheduled competition time.
Competition draw: Match-ups will be determined by a draw, with the final competition format confirmed once registrations close.
All competitors must follow the judge's instructions and competition safety rules.
