Proudly part of the Tarago district since 1956.

Rooted in agriculture. Built on community.

Tarago Show Society is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to celebrating rural life, preserving agricultural traditions and creating opportunities for people to come together.

Established in 1956, the Society has a proud history of bringing the district together through agricultural shows, competitions and events that showcase the skills, talents and achievements of our community.

Today, our work extends beyond the annual Show. We organise and support a growing range of agricultural, recreational and community events, while caring for and improving the Tarago Showground for future generations.

From shearing and horsemanship to local produce, traditional skills and family entertainment, we're passionate about keeping the best of country life alive while making room for new ideas and new generations.

Open green field with trees, fencing, and a pole, under a bright blue sky with scattered clouds.

A place to come together.

Set among the rolling countryside on Braidwood Road, Tarago Showground is home to the Society and the events we bring to life.

With its Pavilion, shearing facilities, horse areas and open grounds, the Showground provides a setting for agricultural competitions, demonstrations, community gatherings and private events.

Behind the scenes, our volunteers work throughout the year to maintain and improve the grounds, helping ensure they remain a welcoming and useful resource for the district.

Built by volunteers. Sustained by generations.

Behind every Show, event and improvement to the grounds are people who generously give their time, skills and energy.

From committee members and stewards to volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors and supporters, the Society has been shaped by generations of people who care about agriculture, rural traditions and the Tarago district.

We are especially proud to acknowledge our Life Members and Honorary Members, whose contributions and service have helped build the Society we know today.
